Not long after I started making a decent profit, but before I really understood how Facebook ads worked, I decided to launch a brand new product first thing on a Saturday morning. I had set a budget of 50 x £50 per day, so I was spending a total of £2,500 per day in a testing phase. What a fool!
My basic thought was, “I know what I’m doing, this product is going to be a success. I just need to spend more and I’ll make more money.” How wrong I was…
To make matters worse, I had spent the whole day getting drunk for a friend's birthday, so my plan was just to check in every now and then to make sure everything was okay and if not, I would just turn off the ads, no big deal!
with the day (there was a lot of beer), and I completely forgot korea email list to check my ads. The next day, when I woke up hungover and realized I hadn't checked my account, I felt sick.
In total I had spent over £3,100 on ads and had only made 10 sales… a loss of over £2,900.
I learned quickly that spending more doesn't always equal earning more. Luckily I had other products that were profitable, but I got burned, and quite a bit!
Moral of the story: Don’t run expensive campaigns if you plan on getting drunk.
The problem was that I got so carried away
